BWCS Launches First Conference Focused on Future of CCTV in Transport

(10 Nov 2010, BWCS Staff)

(10/11/2010, BWCS Staff) Known for its consulting work on train communications systems, BWCS has launched its first conference on the future of integrated CCTV and transport systems. The new conference, which is attracting train and bus operators from across Europe, will be held on the 24th and 25th of November in Central London – see www.CCTVTransport.com  for details.

The Integrated CCTV and Transport 2010 Conference will bring together key transport groups, technology providers, system integrators and major CCTV suppliers from all over the world to discuss the latest developments in this fast-moving sector.

Graham Wilde, CEO of BWCS commented “This new conference will examine how future CCTV systems will be deployed on trains, metros and buses and how the video from them should be delivered, used intelligently, analysed, checked and acted upon. This conference will build on our successful Train Communications Systems conferences which we continue to hold every June in London.”

Wilde reflected that the conference has already attracted the most go-ahead train operators and suppliers involved in, or interested in, this dynamic sector.  “We aim to establish this as a global event and it offers a great platform for transport operators and suppliers to share their experiences in this area."

BWCS has worked with many of leading operators on the development and procurement of wireless communications services for their trains. Among those presenting at Integrated CCTV and Transport 2010 will be: the APTA CCTV Working Group (US), Alstom, COE, EMEF, Trains Portugal, Munich Metro, Tram and Bus, Petards, RuF Telematik, SBB, SL Transport, Sweden, SNCB Rail, Belgium and Waterfall Solutions.

The conference is sponsored by Axis Communications, Security Media Publishing and EURail Magazine.
