Tickets for WiFi on Trains Conference – Selling Like Hot-cakes as Europe Freezes

As ever, we have focused on getting train operators, from all over the world to share their real-life stories of putting WiFi onto their trains, fighting to keep the customers happy and struggling to add new services and increase bandwidth.

The main European and UK train operators as well as Indian Railways, and operators from the US will be sharing their experiences and challenges at the two-day conference.

Highlights for 2018 include:

Keith Monserrat from Network Rail Telecom will address the Conference on the Future for Wireless Connectivity Services to Trains – examining the lessons learned from the current series of trials that NR is undertaking and what the future is likely to hold.

Indian Railways on launching WiFi on the largest rail network in the world.

Matt Griffin from Transport for London on the capital’s ambitious plans to extend wireless connectivity along tube lines and trains.       

Jim Baker will report on the situation state-side, including how Amtrak and others have fared on installing trackside networks and developing other solutions.

Other speakers include the main European and UK train operators including RENFE, SJ Trains, Arriva, OBB from Scandinavia, across Europe, the US and the UK, who will all be sharing their experiences and challenges at the two-day conference.
