Free Mobile Internet for Fixed Line Customers
(05 Jan 2009, BWCS Staff)The German subsidiary of Telecom Italia, HanseNet, is to offer free mobile internet access to new customers to its Alice DSL services. The announcement was made today in the Financial Times Deutschland by the company's marketing director Michele Novelli.
According to Novelli, all new Alice customers will be given free access to the internet via O2's German network. The new users will be allowed to download up to 30Mb per day without incurring any charges.
In early December 2008, Telefónica Germany and HanseNet Telekommunikation signed an agreement giving HanseNet responsibility for marketing DSL bundled connections in more than 100 German towns and cities. The two companies said this would be in addition to the existing 1,100 MDFs belonging to Telefónica already used by HanseNet.
