Developing a Wireless Data Service
About this title:
Successful Wireless Data Services The Mobile Industry's Holy Grail Introducing successful wireless data services is the goal of almost every mobile operator. Yet, so far, out of the debris of shattered dreams and broken business plans, only a handful of success stories have emerged. The value of experience in this area cannot be overstated. Everything from defining the service, determining the delivery platform, creating a friendly user experience to communicating the benefits to the end users has been carried out on a "trial and error" basis. To make matters worse, operators have only a few months to get it right - to produce a success and to attract users to their new service. This has helped to create a set of enormous and intimidating challenges for mobile companies. Developing a Wireless Data Service is a brand new Expert Briefing from BWCS designed to alleviate these problems. Using the direct, hands-on experience of expert author Vandana Razdan, formerly senior product manager at Hong Kong mobile operator Sunday Communications, we present a blue-print designed to help you create successful, profitable and popular wireless data services. The Expert Briefing seeks to identify the best practices and processes adopted by successful operators around the world and consolidate them into a handy step-by-step guide. Is this Expert Briefing right for me? The audience for the report is intended to be the management, marketing, business and product development teams of operators across the globe, particularly those engaged in launching or expanding their 3G wireless data service portfolio. Developing a Wireless Data Service is specifically designed to be used as a template for operators planning to launch their own portfolio of services. It will be particularly useful for operators who are launching or expanding their 3G networks and at the same time are broadening the accompanying suite of data services for consumers, in order to exploit the benefits of the higher bandwidth. The Expert Briefing will assist senior management and other marketing and product related decision-makers in: - Developing a process for service development and delivery
- Ensuring all significant issues are addressed and key milestones achieved
- Adopting best practices of mobile operators across the globe
- Educating and training middle management.
Put simply, Developing a Wireless Data Service consolidates best practices and identifies, in chronological order with real life examples, the steps and procedures that an operator should undertake up to service launch. No operator considering a future in wireless data services should be without this guide. About the author Vandana Razdan has worked at a senior level in a variety of roles in the mobile industry.
